Thoughts I couldn’t ignore…

White As Snow

Today begins the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) the most holy day on God’s calendar. In the Bible, it was the one day the High Priest entered the Holy of Holies to make atonement for the sins of the nation. Two goats were chosen. One sacrificed, the other sent into the wilderness, symbolizing God removing sin completely.

For believers in Jesus, this day points us to Him, our High Priest who entered the true Holy of Holies in heaven and offered His blood once for all. 🙌

It reminds me how heavy sin really is… and how amazing Jesus is. He didn’t just cover our sin for a year like the sacrifices did, He removed it forever. 💜

The Day of Atonement points forward to the day Jesus will return to bring judgment and cleansing. Until then, I want to live in gratitude for His mercy and the access we now have to the Father through Him.

It’s a day to pause, humble ourselves, and remember, sin separates, but God provides atonement. Jesus didn’t just cover sin, He removed it.
