Happiness is Fleeting
I know people can find moments of happiness in money, success, relationships, even in sin and feel like there is no need for God. But the problem is this life isn’t the end. Our souls are eternal. And when this life is over, the only thing that matters is whether we’re reconciled to God or separated from Him forever.
That’s why Jesus matters so much! He didn’t come to make life here on earth perfect and free of heart ach and struggle. He came to save our souls from eternal separation and to give us eternal life with God when this life on earth is over. He gave us a gift and paid a debt for the whole world that we can’t and could never pay on our own, when he died on the cross and then rose from the grave proving his power over death. It’s a gift you can choose to accept or deny.
So even if someone feels good or thinks they’re happy with life now, one day every person on earth will stand before the God who created everything, including you and me. And on that day, only the covering of Jesus can save you from the eternal seperation of God.
